COMMON QUESTIONS:

Question #1: How do I get the intake form and the agreement and release form that my parent has signed and "Direct Message" (DM) it to Esme?

Answer: Once you send it to your parent, have them print it out and sign it. Then, they can either scan it and email it back to you or they can take a picture of it and then text it to your phone to get it back to you. If they email the form back to you - great, if they send you a text with the signed form, just email it to yourself. Then open up the email and now you can take that document and click on it and drag it over to "SLACK" and over to Esme Ng’s name (under Direct Messages - DM) and unclick. This will get the form to her.

Question #2: What is SLACK Message Box?

Answer: It is Direct Message (DM)

Question #3: How do I get the Welcome Week video and the Week 1 video to the parent?

Answer: When you gave Joanne your parent's name and email, she entered your parent in to BPU 301P and your parent now has all the videos they would need to watch each week.

Question #4: What is the "On-line" notebook that you mentioned in the Pre-week video?

Answer: It is just a notebook or folder, that you create on your own, in order to save the information, forms, etc., you get here on "SLACK," and you want to do this because after 30 days from when the program ends, you will not have access to "SLACK" anymore and therefore will not have access to the information that will be helpful to you.

Question #5: Where is the "About" part in "My Channel" as you talked about "Topic" and "Description"?

Answer: SLACK has made a change in how they identify the description. At the top of each channel there is a description area. At the end of the description is the word “edit.” You can click on that and then type your description for your channel in that place.

Question #6: Can I start a week later since I am a bit behind?

Answer: It is all up to you and keep in mind there is no behind or ahead here. Some people have started already, some people will start this week and some people will start a week later and that is ok. All the information will be given to everyone each week which you will have access to.
